Military Psychologists oppose Torture in any form or setting and support American American Psychological Association Ethics committee at the Annual APA Meeting in Toronto this Week.: The President of APA Division 19 - Military Psychology, sent a definitive statement today to all members saying: "We do not support torture or those involved in torture, period."
He invited members of the APA Ethics committee to attend a 90 minute open meeting at the Convention to forge a strategy which will guide the Division and APA in the future to prevent any abuses that might occur in Military, Law Enforcement or Intelligence settings where Psychologist are involved. This in the wake of what has been called "The Hoffman Report".
